As this note has already been imported into Facebook once, I'll try to actually complete this so that it will update the one at Facebook.
Friday was a great day, but how can I tell you it is great without out just flat out saying, "Friday was a great day."? I cannot do it alone. So I sent this idea around to me slogan creator saying that I wish to convey in a short way that I had a great day (another rhyme. +2 geek points). He sent back, written on an old Chinese takeout menu, "Great day today".
That would not work. As you're sitting there (or maybe standing) you may be wondering, "Why not? After all, that is all you have told us." But you see, that does not explain why my day was great. So I sent it to the guy that makes all those cool Google Logos. And he made me a great logo. Well... not really. But anyway. This wouldn't work either for the same reason that the first Google guy's didn't: it doesn't explain why! So I sent it off to my monkeys stating, "Ooh ooh ah ooh", or in English, "Please take this idea that I have about me having a great day and turn it into something small yet profound and meaningful." So my monkeys went to work. Tirelessly tapping all day, trying to find the perfect line about my day. The closest they got was, "adsfljdfljadfAsdfjj b358d djsdkjldshb;dhjbh;aicnbh d3dklsd84 vkh", which may make sense to monkeys (and some of my classmates), but it doesn't to the population at large. Thus I had to rely on my own intellect.
It was a great challenge. How to tell you that I had a great day because FCA 5th Quarter went very well. How to tell you that I don't have a huge suitcase to video-tape the football games anymore, that I now have a handheld on a tripod. So I sat in front of my laptop for hours drinking and eating only the essentials to stay alive. Then it hit me like a barrel of bricks falling from a high scaffolding: write a haiku. So here it is, in its entirety.
I had a great day.
FCA went very well.
New handheld with stand.
The End.
