El Presidente Campaign Speech

By: Jacroe September 13, 2009

Thank you Madame Secretary. My fellow Americans, I want to thank you for your vote in this election. You have ushered in a new age of democracy for the... Wait... Hold on, wrong speech.

Since my classmates at Nanih Waiya have always asked me for the correct answer to multiple choice questions, I feel it is my duty to again tell you which
choice for President is the best for this school. Obviously, it is Pedro Sanchez. You should vote for Pedro. Unfortunately for all of us, Pedro is not a choice in this election. So I would have to say that Jacob Roeland is the next best. I have been a student here at Nanih Waiya since kindergarten, where I was given the Good Handwriting award. After receiving said award, I thought that my handwriting needed no improvement and it has not changed in 12 years.

I played football for two years. It was then that I realized that I would rather be behind the camera than in front of it. I've come to realize that you don't hurt as bad come Saturday morning.

You know, the great philosopher and theologian, Jacob Johnson, once shared his valuable insight into the life of politics. He said, and I quote, "I'm not cutting corners; I'm shaving edges!" And, you know, sometimes, that's how it feels in our country, government, and school today. We've either chosen to or been forced to do just enough to get by. But with Jacob Roeland as your president, you won't have to shave edges. Nor cut corners.

I can't guarantee that all of your wildest dreams will come true like Pedro could. But if one of your dreams is me becoming president, then that definitely could come true. Thank you.
