Today, I received a package in the mail from a particular notebook-selling website, FieldNotes. I received two packs of a particularly stunning set of notebooks called Packet of Sunshine. They are quite beautiful. They're so small that they can fit into my jeans pocket, yet large enough to where I can jot down notes or write reminders easily. They're so awesome that my aesthetically-hard-to-please girlfriend wanted some. But then FieldNotes became even more awesome when I read that I might've won a very special set of notebooks.
See, usually, when you order a pack of FieldNotes you get a packet of three. They discovered the only known pack of four notebooks and decided that they would send them out to a random customer. And I was the lucky dog who won them. I thought about using them for regular notetaking, but from advice from my folks have decided against it. This genetic freak will remain sealed for a very long time1.
